Tri-motor SkyBug

The single nose mounted Speed 400 is replaced by three Multiplex 280.

Same battery - Sanyo 600AE, seven cells but the motors are now controlled by a Kontronik SUN 3000. Propellers are standard Guenthers.

The sound is nice...!

Engine mount could not be easier - two dowels inserted in the leading edge and epoxi-glued. Motor retained by a rubber band.

Motor wires are embedded in the foam wing and covered by Solarfilm.

(Make sure to connect all wires correctly, I managed to take off with one motor running backwards! 2 minus 1 = 1 motor, but it flew anyway....)

Nose motor also hold on by a rubber band and a dowel across the nose. Easy to remove and put the 400 back...

After two testflights: This version flies just as good as the original (geared 400 2,33:1) but the duration is disappointing; 4 minutes (compared to 10 min) on low throttle, that means an average 3A for each motor. But, it is different and it sounds good...
With a 7-cell pack of 1000AA cells, the duration is back, without any loss of performance ! This is the way to go!!!
