Rules for Stockholm Diplomacy The Stockholm Diplomacy Map with full names is available here A map with the correct abbreviations is available here A map showing the startup positions of the seven powers is available here Stockholm Diplomacy is a variant created by us (Jens and Olle), as part of our school assignment to create this site. We hope that some of you will play it and help us make it better along the way. The Idea Stockholm diplomacy is a war between different parts of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. This is the final destination of the Stockholmian segregation ;) The seven Powers are Karlberg, Soderort, Kungsholmen, Maria, Sofia, Norrmalm and Ostermalm. The startup positions are: Karlberg (Red): A Kai, A Tom, F Kst Kungsholmen (Yellow): A Sha, A Ral, F Fre Maria (Light Blue): A Zin, F Sos, A Hog Norrmalm (Gray): F Cen, A Set, A Adf Ostermalm (Dark Blue): A Tvh, A Gar, F Kap Soderort (Green): A Asp, A Grd, F Ste Sofia (Pink): A Ers, F Teg, F Skt The rules are as in Standard Diplomacy, with the following exceptions The time begins in 2101 instead of 1901. Spaces with special rules: Gamla Stan: Gamla Stan is similar to Kiel, Denmark or Constantinople in standard Dip. A fleet can move from Strommen to Gamla Stan, and then on to Klarasjo in the following move. Slussen: Slussen is similar to Egypt in Colonial Diplomacy. It allows fleets to move directly between Klarasjo and Strommen without first passing through Slussen. This is only possible if allowed by a unit standing in Slussen. This unit must start and end the turn in Slussen in order to make the fleet move legal. The move must also be granted permission by the unit standing in Slussen. This is no big deal if for example Norrmalm has a unit in Slussen and a fleet in Klarasjo which he moves to Strommen. But if another power wants to use Slussen, the unit in Slussen must specify that it gives its permission. This is done by simply writing a support order for the move. F Slu S SOFIAN F STR - KLA. Slussen has the same function as Kiel, Constantinople or Denmark in standard dip. It is concidered having a continous coast towards both Strommen and Klarasjo. Narrow Straits: Arrows on the board indicate that two coastal land spaces are adjacent to each other. Example: A unit (army or fleet) in Centrum can move to Stadshuset. It is also possible to move a fleet from Barnhusviken to Klarasjo, since they are adjacent to each other. Victory Criteria: To possess 18 of the 34 supply centers at a fall retreat. Back to rules |
